Education lies at the heart of Amir Support Initiative’s mission. The organization combines Quranic memorization (Hifdh), Tajweed, Arabic, and Islamic studies with Uganda’s national primary curriculum to produce well-rounded learners who are spiritually grounded, morally upright, and academically competent. This approach not only preserves Islamic heritage but also ensures children can compete in Uganda’s education system and beyond. Priority is given to orphans and vulnerable children who often lack access to formal education due to poverty, family instability, or neglect.
Expected Outcomes include improved literacy and numeracy rates, stronger moral character, increased Quran memorization among pupils, and higher enrollment and retention of vulnerable children in school. Over time, this dual curriculum is expected to create disciplined, knowledgeable, and value-driven individuals who contribute positively to society.
Outputs will include the annual enrollment of at least 500 children, including 200 fully supported through scholarships. ASI will distribute 300 Qurans, textbooks, and learning materials annually to enhance both academic and Quranic learning. Regular mentorship sessions will also be conducted to instill discipline, values, and moral guidance, ensuring holistic child development.
