Healthy children are better learners, and healthy families form the backbone of resilient communities. ASI supports child and family health through medical outreach camps, school-based health programs, nutrition education, and psychosocial counseling. Many families in rural Uganda face significant barriers to accessing healthcare, making preventive and community-based approaches vital.
Expected Outcomes include reduced prevalence of preventable illnesses such as malaria and diarrhea, improved family nutrition, stronger psychosocial resilience, and greater access to healthcare services for underserved populations.
Outputs will include the organization of four annual medical outreach camps, serving at least 1,000 beneficiaries. School health programs will be conducted annually, reaching 500 pupils with hygiene, nutrition, and sanitation education. Ongoing psychosocial counseling will be provided to children and families in need, addressing issues such as trauma, grief, and stress.
