Description
Qurbani (Udhiya) is a sacred Islamic tradition observed during Eid ul-Adha, honoring Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) devotion when he was willing to sacrifice his son Ismail (AS) for the sake of Allah (SWT). In his place, Allah provided a ram — marking the origin of this noble act.
Muslims perform Qurbani between the 10th and 12th of Dhul Hijjah, sacrificing animals like sheep, goats, or cows. The meat is divided into three parts: for the family, relatives and friends, and those in need — ensuring everyone can share in the joy and blessings of Eid.
